I was able to achieve these tasks through the use of programs such as ARGUS, BOUD, Maximo, and SEDS, as well as utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams for task organization and team communication. This role also consisted of maintaining customer relations and communication, taking multiple design considerations into account for the sake of the line crews and the public, being adaptable in designing and planning timelines and processes, and understanding a wide array of standards and information across the utility and construction industries. This position exposed me to the energy industry and how it works on a distribution level, gave me experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering field, exposed me to a new range of utility-related engineering and organization software, and improved my customer relations and communication skills. This included creating 3D part models from 2D drawings, making revisions to part materials and mounting equipment for new projects, creating small and large-scale 3D assemblies from components, and creating drawings for various parts and assemblies.
