Managing projects for the National Integrated Heat Health Information System (NIHHIS), the Global Heat Health Information Network (GHHIN) and many other initiatives focused on extreme heat, vector-borne diseases, and other environmental health topics.

Supporting several program managers in the execution of earth system science competitive research grant programs. This includes reviewing Letters of Intent (LOIs), supporting peer review panels, and developing new program initiatives. More specifically, I am:Developing a future proposal call to transfer scientific research on urban emissions Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems to city governments. Traveling to several cities to develop the concept, working with representatives from universities and municipal government.Crafting a large budget initiative for a future fiscal year in collaboration with many partners at research labs across the country and several different departments at NOAA. Using a stakeholder needs assessment that I conducted, we are now collaborating to write the final language.Coordinating and hosting a series of webinars on the DYNAMO field campaign, reaching a global audience of scientists interested in the Madden Julian Oscillation and growing the community of practice in this area. Under my leadership, the committee has run events with leaders in every NOAA line office, policy sessions on Capitol Hill, and events with other non-governmental organizations.

Developed and tested a novel habitat modeling approach for the Marine Geospatial Ecology Lab's Cetacean habitat and density modeling in the Atlantic Ocean. This approach used historical whaling data sets and an multi-model ensemble of historical Global Climate and Earth System Model runs to project past, present, and future distributions of sperm, humpback, and fin whales.

Researched bias correction and statistical downscaling methods to prepare climatemodel output for regional impact analysis in ArcGIS. Prepared quick-start guide forusing multidimensional (NetCDF) climate model output in ArcGIS. ResearchedNetCDF CF Metadata Convention and developed mapping for climate variableoutput from EdGCM.

Led discovery and design of enterprise HL7 interfaces for the North Shore Physicians Group (NSPG) as part of a larger integration effort at North Shore Medical Center. Completed Integration Blueprint, and represented all 16 NSPG locations at program-wide meetings.Designed, developed, and maintained an enterprise interface database used to track all current and future Compass Program interfaces for Partners Healthcare entities.Interviewed job applicants for the entire Compass Program as the Technical Integration representative.

State Government Client WorkInformation Technology Division - Worked with Secretariat and State CIOs to develop strategic IT consolidation plans for all Executive Offices of a public sector client.Department of Education – As functional lead, enhanced a web-based system (gathered requirements through client interviews, designed, developed, tested, and implemented enhancements) intended to help track and improve the performance of vocational students. Developed training materials, and trained teachers in sessions throughout the state. Department of Developmental Services – Designed a new provider-facing module for an HCBS waiver program case management system.Executive Office of Health and Human Services – Worked with project manager to facilitate the enhancement of an enterprise invoicing and service management system which streamlines billing for providers and agencies. Owned the project plan and status reporting, and hosted meetings. Also diagrammed processes for HIPAA regulated data transmission, and acted as a configuration manager for a Source Forge implementation (software development project management tool).Private Sector Client WorkA Medical Devices Company – Built and tested financial management reports in Cognos 8 BIPro bonoNew Sector Alliance – Advised Harvard and Columbia students in their projects helping local non-profits on a content aggregation strategy and community learning initiatives.Also engaged in firm development activities such as planning a public sector debate on emergency management, organizing a session on Web 2.0 technologies for a non-profit summit, and co-leading a regional public sector sustainability community of practice.

Researched J2EE alternative open-source framework (Spring Framework) for CIS Dept. Chair in the interest of creating a new course or modifying existing courses to include the technology.Configured MySQL DB for a java program being used in research for a faculty member.Developed a new syllabus for MS .NET course with faculty member.

Worked in SAP Competency Center Designing and Developing solutions in ABAP for R3 and BW environments.Also worked with director of ERP systems deveopment on batch job scheduling application - improving the process and aligning it with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
