Taught over 200 K-12 introductory robotics principles including basic circuitry, introductory programming, sensor integration and utilization, and broad aspects of structural design, geartrain design, and mechanical dynamics. Constructed and improved week-long curriculums utilizing these principles to keep students engaged, productive, and orderly, while encouraging collaboration, technical communication, applied creativity, and critical thinking, utilizing educational robotic platforms including the Lego Education WeDo 2.0, VEX IQ, VEX EXP, and Sphero BOLT systems. Applied robotics to real-world scenarios, leading the classes in competitions, art projects, and build projects, encapsulating the engineering design process from initialization to completion. Mentored students expressing interests in science, technology, and engineering to continuing pursuing the field, sharing anecdotes and experiences from time spent personally in the field, and introducing potential extracurriculars and academic pursuits.Mentored an additional 30 students belonging to the West Virginia First Star Academy during a two-week residential space camp, in partnership with Destination SPACE Inc. Planned, prepared for, and led students in daily social activities, and provided general supervision and support for the residential aspect of the program, including mealtimes, transportation, social activities, and following student curfew. Organized and distributed supplies to students, providing mentorship, conflict resolution, emotional support, and social engagement. Assisted students in pursuing hands-on learning via a curriculum that included aspects of model rocketry, robotics, earth science, payload development, weather balloon deployment, and general space science, providing technical advice and sharing personal experiences attained from time spent in the field.
