Commander of a 12-Soldier Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha (SFOD-A) 0326. Prepares to deploy and conduct the full range of Special Warfare activities including Unconventional Warfare (UW), Foreign Internal Defense (FID), Special Reconnaissance (SR), Counter Terrorism (CT), Direct Action (DA), and other sensitive activities within the USEUCOM and USCENTCOM areas of responsibility. Responsible for conducting unilateral, joint, and combined operations utilizing all Detachment assets and capabilities including intelligence, operations, weapons, demolitions, communications and advanced medical assets and procedures. Overall responsible for mission accomplishment, command and control, communications, reporting, training, discipline, morale and welfare of all Detachment Soldiers. Maintains a Russian language proficiency and accountability for over $2 Million in assigned equipment.

Serves as the personnel and administration primary staff officer responsible for overall supervision and accountability for a 721 man Stryker equipped Infantry Battalion capable of deploying anywhere in the world within 96 hours. Responsible for all aspects of personnel service support plans, activities, and operations. Supervises one senior Non-Commissioned Officers, two junior Non-Commissioned Officers, and four enlisted personnel to include personnel accounting and strength management, unit administration and headquarters management, finance operations, officer and enlisted personnel systems, publications, awards, family outreach programs, and morale, welfare, and recreation programs. Serves as the Battalion Postal Officer, manages unit funds, and coordinates unit social functions and ceremonies. Deploys the personnel section in combat and manages emergency deployment data, unit manifest operations, and replacement operations.

Platoon Leader for a 27-member Stryker equipped Mortar Platoon, consisting of four mortar crews, a fire directions control center, and four Mortar Carrier Vehicles capable of deploying anywhere in the world within 96 hours. Responsible for the training and tactical employment of the platoon in full spectrum operations with a focus on Arctic Operations, Urban Operations, limited visibility, and precision operations. Responsible for mastering and maintaining new weapons and equipment to include digitized command and control systems of four Mortar Stryker variants. Responsible for the combat readiness, physical fitness, health, welfare, morale, conduct, and force protection of the platoon and the well-being of their families. Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of vehicles and organizational equipment valued in excess of $14.3 Million.
