- I am continuing my work on the backend development team I started my CI&T career on, as we begin to take on our customer's core functionality migration to microservices.- Currently, I am focusing less on development and stepping into a technical lead role, organizing and providing guidance to a team of 8 developers. In this new role, my mission is to guarantee the quality of the team's development through technical refinement, code review and general support on technical and business issues that may arise daily. I work directly with our customer's Product Owner on prioritizing the migration backlog and refining it into development stories.

- I became a Software Engineer at CI&T following the end of my internship, and continued to work on the same team, migrating our customer's monolith to microservices one functionality at a time.- During this period, I solidified my technical skills and continued to become an integral part of the team, being selected by the team leaders as the team's architect "right-hand man", covering their vacation time as the de facto technical lead of the team. During these periods, I had the opportunity of designing solutions for our customer, working directly with the project's Product Owner on extracting the new features' requirements and refining those new features into stories for the team to develop.- Our team continued to work mainly with Java/Spring Boot for our microservices, but experimented with a Vert.x-based reactive microservice, which I helped to build from the ground up. Our use of AWS resources was also extended, setting up a new Redshift database for specific use cases within the system that query the database for large amounts of data. We also continued to improve our usage of CloudFormation, creating a single source of templates which can easily deploy the system's infrastructure to new environments, or update existing ones.- During this period, our customer migrated from plain Kubernetes to Red Hat's OpenShift platform.

- I began my journey at CI&T on a backend development team (Java), focused on improving our customer's existing platform via a long, methodical migration from a monolithic architecture to a more modern, microservice-oriented one. At the time, this migration was at its early stages, and the bulk of the system's secondary funcionality was translated into multiple microservices by our team.- During my time as an intern in CI&T, my role was to develop new functionality in the new microservices, with the guidance of the senior developers on the team. Due to rapid growth in our team, I quickly became one of the developers with the most experience of our customer's system's intricacies, becoming a key member of the team during the internship.- During this period, our team developed RESTful APIs mainly using Java/Spring Boot for microservices and AWS for infrastructure resources. We worked with plain Kubernetes at the time.
