I have owned and managed a number of successful businesses as CEO in various posts since 1980 and over this period I have been strategic advisor to several hundred businesses. I am a Chartered Accountant by qualification and built up my own practice from start-up to a multi-million pound business, before selling this in 2001 to a Top 10 firm. Since 2001, in my role as CEO of HWL Innovation Limited (was part of the RSM Group) I concentrated on designing and authoring software solutions with expertise in performance enhancing engagement tools, usually marketing, sales or service delivery tools that leverage 'best practice'​ in an organisation. As part of my succession plan I moved in February 2022 to the role of Consultant to the Complete Advisory Solution who specialise in guiding and advising accountancy practices and bookkeepers in the development of structured advisory services in UK, USA, Canada, South Africa and Ireland.I am now consultant to a select number of small and medium sized businesses providing facilitated strategic services.I am the author of many published business books on strategy and growth approaches,as well as humorous books on human behaviour and relationships, with over 100,000 books now sold worldwide. Over the last 20 years I have been a speaker at seminars and conferences to thousands of attendees in the UK, USA, Ireland and Canada, although now-a-days I have ceased these speaking assignments.I'm married to my lovely wife Marion, have three children and we have four absolutely gorgeous grandchildren who have transformed mine and my wife's lives.
