As an educator who is deeply committed to integrating social-emotional development into literacy education, I bring a wealth of knowledge in shaping diverse student learning experiences. My expertise lies in the Science of Reading, where I leverage evidence-based strategies to support students of all ages in developing strong foundational literacy skills. I strategically plan and move with intention and flexibility in preparing students to succeed in all facets of their life through literacy and learning initiatives. As a Reading Intervention Specialist and teacher of Special Education, an integral part of my role has been turn-keying best practices in teaching literacy to general education teachers, and ensuring successful transfer of skills from small-group to whole-group settings. With this, I have discovered a passion for empowering and coaching educators, understanding deeply that teachers are our greatest asset in education. I am elated to have transitioned into an educational consulting role where I can continue to uplift educators with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively implement literacy instruction in their own classrooms. I am eager to collaborate to enhance literacy instruction and foster an excitement for learning and growth in educators across the country.
