I'm excited to announce my new role as a Literacy Coach Consultant for the 2024-2025 school year after eight rewarding years of teaching elementary students!I believe that a structured approach to literacy is essential for helping kids become proficient readers by third grade. It's vital that the foundational skills taught through core programs are explicit, systematic, and grounded in the Science of Reading. Educators carry a significant responsibility in this process, and I am committed to supporting students, teachers, and school leaders in meeting this important challenge.I firmly believe that effective literacy and reading instruction can unlock a student’s potential—both now and well beyond their time in school!
