Key Achievements – Regional Legal Director• Directed and negotiated a suite of contracts in an Asian country, for the creation of a joint venture with a state-owned infrastructure owner. This permitted the exploitation of ALSTOM IP and know-how thus generating several million dollars of revenue for ALSTOM in UK and an ongoing demand for components and further technology.• Directed a pro-active strategy on anti-trust education including the development of a Competition Law e-learning tool, which was completed by over 300 senior managers worldwide at the instance of the EXCOM. This was followed-up with delivery of an international tour of anti-trust training.• Self-reported to BIS a non-compliance of export control legislation. After interviews with British Security Services and HM Government in Whitehall, succeeded in convincing UK Government of the innocence of the error, thus avoiding a fine, criminal sanction and negative publicity for the UK business. Initially as a Contractor and from October 2003 as Legal Director, I had responsibility for all the corporate and commercial aspects of the legal function in UK and Northwest Europe, including directing UK legal and HR due diligence during the disposal of the T&D Division to AREVA.

Responsibility for all corporate and commercial support to the PLC Board and Board Committees as also to private company subsidiary boards including share scheme and Listing Rule compliance; supporting non-executive directors as also executive directors in legal issues commensurate with a strong, growing and progressive property company in the South-east of England.

Negotiating consortia-based PFI deals and joint ventures, acquisitions in UK and USA and leading a major risk management review as also providing full legal and company secretarial support to the PLC Board and Board Committees, including share scheme management and Listing Rule compliance.
