ACCESS-NRI (Australian Community Climate and Earth-Systems Simulator - National Research Infrastructure) is a multi-party collaborative venture responding to the current and future needs of Australia’s scientific, Government and stakeholder community in the field of Climate and Weather research.AchievementsOrganised from start up to operational level.Took FTE from 2 to 25 through recruitment campaigns, including gender specific, and close liaison with HR.Set up boards and regular meetingsAdditional 5 years funding obtained from NCRIS which guarantees job stability and therefore capability of NRI to work towards targets.Establishment of accommodation including furnishingsMonitored and controlled spend to within budgetFunctionsLead, manage and coordinate corporate services within ACCESS-NRI. Ensure the administrative functions, policies and procedures support the achievement of ACCESS-NRI and align with University strategic goals. Oversee administrative support to ACCESS-NRI’s management team, and ensure administrative systems and practices are set up effectively and efficiently.Focus on the business aspects of ACCESS-NRI, including business planning, reporting, finance, contracts (government, co-investing stakeholders), workforce planning, major project support and secretariat services to the ACCESS-NRI Board and committees.Contribute to the strategy development of ACCESS-NRI. Business management and administration, and liaison with internal areas of the University including Finance, HR, Facilities and Services and the Division of Information, and external organisations including the Commonwealth Government (DESE, DAWE), publicly funded research organisations, agencies and universities across Australia.
