A dynamic and results driven Chartered engineer. Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering and industrial experience of 30 years. Twenty years in the offshore oil & gas industry specialising in process safety / asset integrity / maintenance. Ten years in the insurance risk management industry delivering property loss prevention and business continuity surveys across a range of high hazard industries. Comprehensive understanding of the upstream oil and gas business (including COMAH sites) with an in-depth knowledge of UK Regulations relating to major accident hazard management and asset integrity. Key experience in the areas of process safety, risk management, asset integrity, maintenance, inspection, reliability, verification / vessel class and life extension of assets.Significant experience in delivering major process improvement projects relating to HSE, maintenance, inspection and reliability. Working across multiple sites / functions / engineering disciplines and managing all aspects including initial gap analysis, project sanction, planning, resourcing, budget control and contractor management. Possesses excellent interpersonal, negotiation and business development skills. Experienced in developing and delivering technical training courses to large numbers of people. Good working knowledge of SAP maintenance management systems and able to efficiently analyse large and complex data sets to support improvement projects. Communicates concisely and articulately at all levels within an organisation and with external HSE Regulators. Able to investigate major incidents / losses to determine the root causes and required actions to prevent a re-occurrence. Effective at leading, developing and mentoring diverse teams to deliver high level performance.
