Iain has worked with public and private sector organizations in the UK and North America over the last 15 years to help them improve business practices and make better decisions, and he now runs an independent training firm, icInfrastructure. Iain has helped organizations through the various pillars of Infrastructure Asset Management, from AM Training and Gap Assessments, gaining Leadership support and developing AM Policy and Strategy, to building Customer Level of Service Frameworks and supporting Public Consultation. Iain has led several high-profile projects in the asset management industry including the development of Michigan Infrastructure Council’s Asset Management Champions Training program, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' (FCM) Leadership in Asset Management Program, and the Canadian Network of Asset Managers’ (CNAM) “New to AM” program, their popular AM101 Booklet, and the CNAM’s Asset Management Competency Framework for Communities to support the staffing and skills shortage we face as an industry. He is also a member of the international mirror committee to ISO/TC 251 on Asset Management, developing the ISO 55000 standards. Iain and the icInfrastructure team are passionate about building the capacity of infrastructure owners to support them to make the difficult decisions needed around delivering services to the communities they serve today and for future generations.
