American is a well respected dry cleaner and launderer with 30+ receiving branches in and around London with a large central processing unit located near Colindale, London.• Responsibility for the day to day running of the 7 day a week 12,000 square foot production operation with responsibility for 45 staff to maintain constant productivity of 21,000 pieces per week• Identified steam boiler and steam pipe work management issues and made savings of 965 Kg of steam per hour removing the need to replace one of both of the boilers• Identified cooling tower problems and made water savings of in excess of 365,000 litres per year• Responsible for introducing a Health & Safety culture in the work place and cascading the Toolbox training to all staff to be aware of H&S responsibilities, Fire Drills and Manual Handling• Designed job specification for all departments and formatted easy to read department training reminders to enable staff to quickly cross train across departments• Introduced planned maintenance logs for all plant equipment including boiler plant and cooling tower to ensure routine maintenance was correctly carried out to improve equipment reliability• A member of the senior management team that held weekly production meetings to discuss all KPIs and company wide sales data, and to find ways of improving productivity and reducing claims
