Manage 3000+ tool calibration program of industrial manufacturing facility, and ensured compliance to ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Performed Dimensional, Electrical, Thermodynamic, Mechanical, Force, and Torque Calibrations. Identified deficiencies in existing calibration program and implemented changes to bring program into compliance. Authored the updated version of the facility's calibration procedures manual, adding procedures for nearly half of calibrations performed at the site. Redesigned calibration certificates to meet current ISO/IEC 17025 standards, record additional test points, and record before and after calibration data. Participated in site audits for ISO 9001, UL, and governing Industry representatives to address questions and concerns related to the Calibration of tools and test equipment. Achieved a positive ISO 9001 audit result, and recognized by auditor for "Noteworthy Improvements" which were a direct result of the aforementioned changes. Identified calibration program cost savings by reviewing tools being sent to third-party laboratories and determining if in-sourcing calibrations would reduce spending. Identified an $11,000 cost savings over 5 years with the investment into the necessary standards, ROI realized after 15 months. By sourcing competing quotes for third-party calibrations of tools and test equipment, where it would not be cost-effective to in-source, was able to reduce outsourced calibration expenditure and reduce turn-around time. Identified an electrical safety improvement which eliminates the risk of exposed voltage to the technician performing the calibration, reducing the need to rely solely on PPE for protection against arc flash.

Served as an intern on the Wake Tech STEM Applied Research project "Geology Field Guide (Paleo)" under mentors Dr. Jessica B. Kelley and Prof. Ian C. Brown. The project purpose was to research fossil discovery sites throughout North America dating to periods throughout the geologic time scale. These fossil sites are then to be mapped onto a Google Earth tour which can be used as a teaching aid in Geology Classes at Wake Tech. My specific contribution to the project was identifying and researching ten fossil sites in North America dating to the Precambrian. Once the written report documenting the ten fossil sites was completed, the Google Earth Tour was created featuring images and descriptions of each fossil and its discovery site. Finally, a presentation on the research was delivered during Wake Tech's START Symposium on April 23, 2021.

Served as an intern on the Wake Tech STEM Applied Research project "Using Gamification to Teach Geology" under mentor Dr. Sara M. Rutzky. The project purpose was to research changes that could be made to Minetest, the open-source variant of Minecraft, to make the game more geologically accurate with the ultimate goal of utilizing the game as a teaching aid. My specific contribution to the project was researching how water behaved in the game and how water behaves in the real world. Research findings were then documented identifying specific changes that can be made to the water specific in-game mechanics that would render the in-game water more accurately.
