About Ian Barron

I am a solutions-orientated Geoscientist with a wide range of experience in multiple geological basins & plays, with operational experience on exploration and development wells and also onshore and offshore seismic acquisition and processing. I've recently made the move from Poacher to Gamekeeper, becoming a regulator in the UK's nascent carbon storage industry. Prior to this I worked in all parts of the funnel, from NV & exploration through to developments, and worked in several countries overseas as well as in the UK. This has given me experience of working in multicultural teams and also in split-location teams using the IT tools to work effectively. I've also worked in partnerships and Joint Ventures with IOCs, NOCs and Independents.
