Required a lead by example approach with the right mental models: - Eliminate 8th Waste unlocking employee creativity and improvement ideas – inspirational, innovative, collaborative, building talent - Leader as Teacher – Building Talent, collaboration, inspirational - Go see for yourself and learn by doing – Collaboration, innovative, decisive - Simple visual standards for all important things – Visionary - Enabling lean culture – Inspirational, visionary - Make problems visible - Innovative Critical tasks included: - Issuing, authorising and closing out permits as per standard work permits list Hot work Vessel entry Working behind guards Work Permits - Directing Emergency response/First Aid associates to where they should be in the event of a crisis in line with crises management and first aid sign off procedures - Facilitate, co-ordinate and oversee crisis events - Requesting and authorising requisitions - Absence management of associates via adherence to the attendance procedure - Support and coach associates in line with HR procedures (Performance management & Appraisals) - Team development - Auditing - Planning budget requirements for Temp labour/overtime - Resource planning and skills management to run machines to plan - Facilitate Kaizen events - Support other departments required to achieve objectives (Safety, Quality, HR, MIT, Finance) - Support team members through ‘Go see’ and spending time on the floor
