LNE, LNW, Scotland.CRE - Permanent Way/TrackTrack Handback - level 4Stressing - level 35-Day SMSTSThe key responsibilities covered in my remit are:•Act as CRE – Track for track discipline element of projects & Lead CRE on multidisciplinary projects with a primary track element.•Co-ordination of designers during design/investigation stage of projects•Raising and facilitating technical queries via the TQ process•Attendance at design review meetings/progress meetings with Client/Designers•Ensuring a pro-active and positive relationship with clients.•Planning of project resources.•Ensuring that the company procedures for CRT reporting are compliant with Network Rail standards/procedures.•Act as CRT Co-ordinator and take responsibility for the reporting of the company CRT register and ensure staff compliance.•Ensure the appointment of suitably competent technical staff to undertake site technical activities (Handback Engineers, Track Quality Supervisors & Stressing Technicians)•Technical preparation for project works: site mark up, design validation, preparation of ALC geometry files, preparation of stressing plans.•Supervision of technical activities during site works. •Co-ordinating the performance of Tampers to ensure appropriate standards of track geometry are obtained. (TQS)•Assessing the suitability of track for Speed Raising to planned speed, (Handback Level 4)•Carry out stressing of CWR including Switches and Crossings (Levels 1, 2 & 3)•Planning of project activities/resources. Creating and monitoring of project programmes.•Completion of site specific paperwork: WPP, Task Briefing Sheets, Risk Assessments etc•Preparation of Health and Safety files for client handback.•Having an excellent working knowledge of the key Network Rail Standards and keeping up to date with changes.
