I previously carried out various types of bricklaying and masonry paving on a rangeof projects including residential brick veneer homes, brick fences,landscaping etc.My most recent responsibilities within my estimating role included;• Liaising directly with management /clients to clarify requirements• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications• Working with sub-contractors to estimate costs for fit outs• Take off quantities and preparing estimates ready for tender• Complying with all OHS and building code requirements• Liaising with suppliers and wholesalers for a range of projects• Data entry into Buildxact software• Creating Purchase Orders and managing project costs• Engage, plan and supervise all trades to meet project goals,on occasions this would have involved supervision of up to15 trades people across a variety of trades such asExcavation, Electrical, Plumbing, (including Gas) Tiling,Carpentry etc. • Report back to the client on the progress andstatus of the project• Regularly conduct quality control checks of all workthroughout the project to ensure that work is on scheduleand in accordance with approved safety and constructionstandards
