This was a new role and the first of its type for the church in NSW/ACT. I owned and took charge of financial, property and governance matters, and established key relationships. Significant achievements in this role are:• Formation of the first CAPEX budget• Responsible for the annual $1m+ budget cycle and financial reporting against budget• Responsible for the external audit process• Creation of policies, procedures and terms of reference for all committees• Creation and implementation of financial controls• Establishing a risk management framework• Creation of face-to-face materials and delivery of training to educate in governance responsibilities used across NSW. This has been created into an online resource, which I project managed, participated and delivered• Creation and implementation of a record management system.

Responsible the $4b accounting asset base and efficient collection of several revenue streams.Responsible for the treasury function and FX exposure.Key achievements in that role were:• Implementing a new Asset Accounting Standards• Project Management Treasury function upgrades in association with NSW Treasury• Project Management and implementation of a new FX and Hedging software, as well as internal procedures to better align the hedge with the currency exposure• Streamlining the debtor collection system which saw a significant increase in collectability and on time payments.

I was a key part of an internal consulting unit reporting to the Financial Controller, delivering training, process improvement initiatives and system upgrades. Key achievements were:• Project Manager of Accounting Standard changes and impact (AEIFRS) ; and advising where there was accounting policy choice or interpretation• Implementation of several upgrades of the ERP – Oracle• Authoring a User Guide on asset identification for key assets of the business• Implementing an overhead recovery system and realignment of the Chart of Account for better cost capturing and reporting

I commenced as a cadet within a school leaver program post the completion of the NSW HSC. Undertook part time studies at UTS while working full time.Post graduation I commenced the CPA Program.Advanced to Senior Auditor with the responsibility for the full audit cycle for small to medium sized clients, specializing in Education and the Electricity Sector
