Brought in by Chairman/Board to attempt rescue of this developer and manufacturer of miniature disk drives and computer security products. Stabilised business after disasterous previous history, increased sales and share price and attemped disposal of company to larger player in the market.

I was headhunted to Seagate after the merger of Seagate with Conner Peripherals in mid-1996. My first role was to combine the local Seagate operation with the strategic accounts team looking after the major OEMs in the territory including EMC, IBM, Compaq, HP, Sun, Apple and others. In doing so I was replacing both a Regional Director, North Europe (Lou Lewis) and a Vice President, OEM Europe (Henri Richard). Once complete, I then managed Seagate's OEM business on a pan-European basis and the regional distribution business in North Europe with revenues in excess of $1 Billion

I was hired to dramatically improve the market penetration and revenue of this hard disk drive manufacturer. Over the 3 years I was there I was responsible of driving sales growth of over 400%, and building a customer service and support infrastructure for the local OEM clients like IBM, Compaq, Dell and others.

Grew and developed laptop business by over 300%. Introduced direct sales organisation. Proudly worked with one of the best business teams led by the incomparable and brilliant John Hill.
