I hold a BSc Systems Modelling (2.1 Hons) degree and a PGCE in Business Studies. I also hold the TEFL certificate and diploma to teach English. In Germany I gained Die Europaeischen Sprachenzertifikate: Zertifikat Deutsch.I have lived and worked in Germany and in the UK since graduating in 1997. I lived in Leipzig and worked as a TEFL teacher and a bond trader. Since returning to the UK I completed my PGCE and have taught several subjects including Business Studies, IT, English, Geography, PHSE, Physics and German at secondary schools in Derbyshire and Stockport. I have been a GCSE examiner for Business Studies and Physics for a major exam board. I create a nurturing educational environment for students to exceed beyond their expectations. At Heritage High School year on year students in my care gained very pleasing results that they and I were proud of.I also have commercial entrepreneurial skills and owned, operated and developed a hospitality business for 5 years. I maximised net profit via continued efficiency improvements, excellent customer service, continuously developing the food and drink offer, resource planning, cash flow management and excellent supplier relationships.
