Has been in the design business since the early 60s. Started JRM Design with ex Central Art School Students. Designed and printed textiles for Mary Quant, Jeff Banks, Biba etc. etc.Started designing Tin boxes,trays and kitchenware and had huge success with a design called 'Salome' (now in Manchester museum) Became design consultant to Parkertex, and Whiteheads.SA. buying Ian Logan ranges of furnishing textiles.70s started own company designing graphics, packaging, texiles and giftware. Many clients both in the UK and abroad. Tin boxes for own wholesale co. became a great success world wide.Over 400 designs and over a million tins sold. (Central St Martins has total collection.) Sold company in the 90s to a French Co. Design Co. designing packaging and graphics for many clients incl. Macy's New York, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Perrier, Buxton Water, Chatsworth,The London Business School, The National Trust,Boots, Eroski supermarkets Spain etc etc. Designed the uniforms for The Post Office and London Underground. Published 3 books: 'Lost Glory' Graphics of the US railroads, 'Classy Chassy' Pin Ups of the US WW2 aircraft and' The Gathering Of Nations' the worlds biggest Native American Pow Wow. Had a very eclectic design store for 10 years in the City of London.
