In April 2021 I celebrated my 30th anniversary in the Information Technology industry, and I have had the privilege of spending all of it working for (and with) two of the giants of the industry, firstly Xerox and over the last decade with HP.

My role was to manage the relationship between HP and our Platinum partners, ensuring that they have all of the tools and information that they need to win business for HP in this very competitive marketplace.

My primary responsibility here was to nurture and grow the relationship with some of HP's most significant Corporate clients in the UK. These clients included one of the UK's big four banks, largest insurance companies and oldest media organisations.

During this 20 year period I had numerous roles within Xerox and their Concessionaire programme, from tea boy to Managing Director, quite literally!

This role involved various tasks in a busy accounts dept. Most notably Credit Control, Credit Management and Debt Recovery.It was here that a learnt the power of handing late accounts to a third-party. It really does make the debtor focus the mind!
