Visual Matrix Studios (VMS) is an independent and entrepreneurial web design and development studio specialising in conceptual design for online web solutions and mobile applications. In my role I assisted the design and development of WordPress CMS websites and iOS mobile applications and successfully conducted scheduled maintenance and applied usability and process testing.Working closely with VMS founder, I attended all high-level development meetings, project planned timelines and milestones, and collaborated with local and overseas developers and programmers to articulate cause and effect leading to design changes and functionality improvements.Passionate in content creation, I provided skilled outcomes in digital image graphics and copywriting and performed basic SEO tasks. Stonecoat Pty Ltd (Division of Milton Dales) is a manufacturer of innovative natural stone spray and trowel applied wall coatings. Used by building and construction industries for exterior and interior wall finishes. Seconded as the founding employee I helped establish manufacturing and warehousing facilities and was heavily involved in sourced local raw materials of stone, chemicals, resins, solvents, and equipment.Managing quality control and material production, I prepared and tested base product adhesives and submitted product formulations successfully receiving Material Safety Data certification and trained material applicators and managed contractors on-site. Developing new business relationships, I introduced the product to architects, developers, builders & construction companies supporting the product with samples, general sales and marketing materials, a basic online presence, PR & advertising in trade magazines, publications and tradeshows.The product is found on homes and multi-story projects around Melbourne and country locations as far as Warrnambool and I played a pivotal role in establishing major projects worth ~$700k.

St Kilda Victoria

Starck Australia (Division of MiltonDales) importer and supplier of high-end solid timber garage doors from Johannesburg, South Africa. Imported to fill a high-end gap in the market, the product and its ancillaries is used by building and construction industries for residential garage and entry door openings. As the founding employee, I proudly establish warehousing in St Kilda, developed new business relationships in architectural, developer and residential builder segments and established wholesale resellers in the garage door industry. Coordinating international product manufacturing, container transport to Australia and customs clearance formed part of the role. From a zero base, around 300 units were sold and installed totalling around $1,600,000. I established in-house and external contract fitters, service and maintenance, managed sales, delivery & installation and introduced a broad range of associated products, entry doors, fittings, and sealer agents.To support the venture, I coordinated and attended trade and home improvement shows, created marketing, training and sales collateral. Managed PR, advertising and feature articles for traditional print trade magazines, directories and publications.
