In January 2015 I was promoted to the role of Completions Project Manager managing a multi-disciplined project team on the Royal Navy’s Future Aircraft Carrier Prince of Wales.Tasks undertaken include.• Providing strategic oversight to the Completion & Handover programme, ensuring the programme meets various stakeholder requirements and driving the performance and quality to meet client expectation.• Developing, training and leading a large multi-disciplined team, providing leadership, setting clear attainable goals aligned to the overall programme objectives and milestones. This includes establishing definitive personal development plans for my team with detail training opertunities based on there strengths needs.• Establishing and maintain good working relationships with the Production Delivery leads, leading the drive to final Acceptance and providing oversight ensuring accurate reporting of performance.• Organising and chairing meetings with senior management and/or the client to discuss project progression, upcoming milestones and lessons learned. • Creating, issuing and maintaining Process Instructions and Programme Strategy guidelines incorporating lessons learned during the assembly build of the first ship.
