Responsible for leading design reviews, specification preparation, tender adjudication, wayleaves, consents and planning issues, contract supervision and client / contractor liaison. Responsible for financial reporting.Responsible for the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) costs and output submission, responding to Ofgem consultant technical assessments and queries, on the robustness of the technical, programme, costs and the procurement and selection process, as well as supporting project economic appraisals. Provided technical and commercial recommendations, contract negations and preparation as well as assisting with the resolution of main contractor and third party disputes.Kintyre – Hunterston Transmission Reinforcement - Project Value over £240mReinforcement of the transmission system with the installation of twin 220 kV alternating current (AC) 240 MVA subsea cables between Crossaig in the Kintyre Peninsula and Hunterston in Ayrshire. Responsible for all phases of the project including pre-construction and consenting, tendering, funding applications via the submission of board papers, contract award and delivery. The pre-construction and consenting required full assessment of a number of different technical solutions, routes and delivery dates. This assessment included substation, tower and land and subsea micro-siting, pre-construction scoping, environmental and marine analysis and statutory and public consultation.
