Current• Spearhead acquisition engagements, leading research initiatives through the directing of resource strategy, target identification, and target presentation, arming clients with opportunities most-aligned to their acquisition thesis.• Conduct preliminary research to establish a baseline market size and estimated number of targets, which is utilized to inform clients of market size and acquisition universe and determine probability of success prior to kick-off.• Direct kick-off call research questioning, illustrating initial market findings to refine and translate client acquisition objectives into identifiable characteristics and attributes resonate in target companies.• Constructed company boolean searches using standard (size, ownership, location) and profile (business model, products/services, end market) criteria to generate 100+ resources and the screening of 2000+ companies per engagement. • Generate client target lists – a compilation of attractive company profiles including additional qualifiers (manufacturing sq. ft., truck count, product mix, unique attributes, service area, etc.) – and enhanced future research strategy through analysis of target rankings and comments, ensuring alignment in acquisition thesis and opportunities presented.• Supported Cook’s senior originators by developing target-specific questions to determine fit and actionability of targets.• Built pipeline of current backed platform investments in various markets, enabling Cook to repurpose passed opportunities.
