My experience covers the structural performance of steel, steel-concrete composite, concrete and masonry materials at room temperature and elevated temperature. My experience covers the design of steel, steel-concrete composite, concrete and masonry using British Standards and Eurocodes. I reported to the Director and was responsible for the financial management of project portfolios and for leading a team of engineers. I have also created finite element models to investigate the behaviour of beams with web openings and the structural interaction between light gauge steel frames and masonry cladding. I’m not formally trained as a software developer but I have worked on the development of structural design software using Visual Basic. I have also developed a number of calculation tools using Excel with VBA.
