I have taught CSCI 1300 Intro to Programming and CSCI 2270 Data Structures.The former was taught in Python and Java, the latter in C++. In both cases I was primarily responsible for grading work, hosting tutoring sessions, and designing lab exercises to further the students understanding and education.

I was the instructor for GEEN 1300 - Programming for non-CS majors.I taught a class of 130 in how to use Excel, MATLAB, and VBA to collect, analyze, and present data in an intelligent fashion, as well as instructing them on the basics of computer programming. This involved a crash course in basic logic, control structures, and good algorithm design.

I helped maintain a state-wide database of student information for the KCTCS system. The database was managed using Oracle's Peoplesoft, and when I arrived there were many inconsistencies that needed correcting and also many new pieces of information that needed to be entered (ideally without causing new inconsistencies). For a year I worked on doing both in a timely fashion while still going to school full-time.

I provided first level tech support and assistance to students who called into the main line at the BCTC campus in Lexington. My job was to resolve as many problems as I could, usually involving billing, registration, financial aid, or admissions and if I was unable to resolve the issue myself I had to know which office to forward the call to in order to have the student's problem resolved as effectively and efficiently as possible.This required a far-reaching knowledge of almost every office within the BCTC campus and a good working knowledge of standard university proceedings from the student perspective.
