During this time I spent two and a half months on an organic farm in France, helping them restore their house and work the land, one month travelling via Interrail around Europe and the rest of the time organising music events in various venues around Milton Keynes including MK11 Live Music Venue where I also assist with sound and lights; load in and out and during show live technical assistance.

With a fleet of over 700 cars, this was a challenging role in which fast learning and a detailed knowledge of excel was essential. It promoted adaptations to outdated procedures, and required constant communication with various third parties and drivers.

I was brought in for a specific project within the Argos headquarters. My role was to liaise with suppliers and the visual brief team, ensuring deadlines were met and quality assured. After the project ended I was kept on within the team and moved over to images where an eye for detail whilst imputing, organising and retouching is key.

I was praised for organising and liaising huge logistical events, such as Ascot Races, and for the quality of service I delivered.

With the largest single floor venue in London and many others, Smart Event Catering supplies top quality service and food to a range of high class clientele.They bid and received one of the most prestigious contracts for the Olympics. I am proud to say that I was part of the team that supplied the thousands of sponsors, celebrities and athletes that visited the Olympic Hospitality Centre with 5 star service.

As a contract job I have been sent out to organisations that require professional events staff. This job made me realise the importance of detail when it involves any client’s event. Also I strengthened my ability to work with others proficiently whilst maintaining the correct attitude towards any workplace.At my first placement I excelled greatly as a waiter so they promoted me to Team Leader where I was in charge of around 8 waiters.

Working the bar, professionally setting up the client’s events and the clear up of all the equipment after the events had taken place were the main sections of this job. The job also provided me the opportunity to plan and run sessions with children teaching them the basics of a variety of activities including skateboarding, animation, photography and art. This work, as well as my previous experience with children, has presented me with the ability to enjoy, understand and be able to actively work with and control groups of young people.

This role contains a lot of responsibilities including making first class personalised coffees, clearing and cleaning tables, restocking shelves, knowing about each individual drink and coffee grind, and working as a cashier. All this had to be done whilst providing the best customer service to keep the ‘Starbucks Experience’ alive.

As a pillar, I helped the waiters do their job to the up most standard. I was relied on to make sure food and drink arrived to the customers, the tables were clean, set and the condiments were restocked, in addition I helped out the bar staff serving customers.

Working as a John Lewis Cashier Partner involved working on a till, cashing up the money I had received and dealing with returns calmly and helpfully. On starting the job I was trained on the John Lewis tills and its system, money handling and excellent customer service.
