I have 15 years experience in a customer service driven role with 4 different companies. With over 6 years in the Pest Control industry with two pest control companies. Through this experience I've come to learn how not to treat staff. It has also taught me the wrong way of doing the job. Alot of companies use cheap materials or safety equipment to harness higher profit margins. I've seen CRRU being blatantly disregarded, environmental risk assessments not being a priority, poor training and strict time limits being placed on jobs. If a person has rats or mice, it's not a big deal to the technician, we see it everyday but to the customer, it's the end of the world. They can't be given a 30 minute time slot and expect that to be enough. A job takes as long as it takes to carry out properly and safely. That's what I aim to do. An Environmental Risk Assessment and a routine inspection on a site if done right, can take longer than 30 minute to carry out. It's just as important to protect non target species from us, as it is to protect us from target species.
