The NEAFL, a national 2nd tier AFL competition, comprises of clubs from the ACT, NSW, NT and Queensland including the four AFL reserve grade sides; Brisbane, Gold Coast, Greater Western Sydney and the Sydney Swans. Sydney University is the only state league club in NSW. The Growthbuilt Sydney University Australian National Football Club can therefore offer young people the opportunity to play at the highest level outside the national AFL competition and at the same time provide an opportunity to study at a leading tertiary institution. This is a unique offer on the AFL stage. Responsible for managing Australia's largest student-athlete scholarship program, with a budget of more than $1.5 million-plus and located within the University of Sydney. The program features more than 320 athletes across 30 different sports, and many athletes have progressed to represent Australia on the international stage, including several Wallabies, Test cricketers, and more than 100 Olympians.

This challenging role required me to grow and develop the Business School's scholarship program, which is now one of Australia's largest tertiary education scholarship program's for business students. The role required extensive liaison with private business and the formation of partnerships with scholarship donors such as QANTAS, Canon and other large companies. Many of our scholarship recipients have progressed to have very successful careers in business Domestically and overseas.
