About Cody Harrison

Imagine a world where poverty has been eradicated and Earth's ecosystems are thriving. This is the future I refuse to give up on and am dedicated to creating. I am committed to leveraging cooperative business models, open source technology, green infrastructure, traditional ecological knowledge, and ecosystem accounting to create a world with significantly reduced inequality and healthy, resilient, and biodiverse ecosystems. My work revolves around integrating nature's magnificent range of solutions with man made technology in a way that is regenerative as opposed to destructive & extractive. By creating viable products & systems that leverage technology and biology as tools for social good we can transform our economy to produce higher quality goods & services while driving the marginal cost of basic human necessities to near zero… And I'm convinced we can meet those human needs in a way that systematically regenerates our ecosystems.Give me shout if you want to talk about the beautiful biophilic future that is still within our reach 🙂Here are some of my impacts so far:● Helped launch a new regenerative ranch products brand (Perennial Pastures), now with monthly sales surpassing $300k/month and growing● Sold The Tiniest House for $55k after 2 years (and about $40k) of 4.9+ star Airbnb rentals sharing the joys of small-footprint ecological living● Helped salvage over 2.2 million lbs of wood and increase its market value by over $1M while providing an additional $500k+ in social/environmental co-benefits as Project Manager of Tree San Diego's urban wood utilization CalFire grant● Launched the e-commerce sustainability portal, the Coneybeare Sustainability Catalogue● Have supported in the creation of 4+ tiny houses as demonstrations/R&D of green building techniques● Managed R&D of Pilus Energy wastewater technology platform by recruiting and leading a 40 person team and directing the development of the patent portfolio during the commercialization effort● Sold $50K+ in energy efficiency upgrades in 10 months and realized annual returns of 10-40% for the homeowners through work with Empower G&EWhen I'm not inexplicably still trying to save humanity from extinction, I like playing in the soil, socializing with good friends/food/music, maybe a little rock climbing/skiing/pickleball, or something weird like trying to convince a programmer to help me build a benevolent AI (that was pre-ChatGPT haha). Let's steer humanity toward the Star Trek future, not Mad Max.
