I am currently working in the Structural Biology Department. Here, I am working as part of a team that provides structural biology services to groups within the Harvard research community. We take in custom plasmids from different groups, express and purify their proteins, and then conduct biophysical, biochemical, and structural characterization experiments to uncover novel MOAs and facilitate the development of novel drug therapies. My role entails expressing large batches of proteins in bacterial, mammalian and insect cells, and purifying them using methods such as FPLC. I also perform characterization techniques, such as ITC and X-Ray Crystallography.

MicroQuin is a biotech startup designing novel therapeutics to combat all breast cancers, including Triple-Negative, with its protein based "cancer-killing" drug and cell penetrating peptide.I am working on the development and optimization of the therapeutic and testing it against MicroQuin's novel intracellular target. Other tasks involve determining the protein structure of the target in collaboration with CASIS and Harvard, investigating the targets role in other diseases such as lung cancer and Parkinson's, and assisting with other facets of the company, such as project management of these collaborations and miscellaneous presentations.

Working as a surveyor in the greater Boston area. Involved in the plotting out and analyzing of construction sites from the initial surveying to the rendering of the site in CAD and producing the final results for presentation to customers.

High end plastering in the Portland area including stucco, polished plaster and color integrated finishes. Also involved in surveying and pricing jobs while also dealing with clients for optimum satisfaction.

Maintenance of shop floor, stock taking, providing customer service, preparation of food items and maintaining food safety standards.

This was an annual summer job in the United States. Taught children aged 12-14 how to construct lobster pots and fishing rods and taught them how to use them.Entailed controlling large groups of children and teaching them in a classroom and workshop environment.

• Spent a semester in the role of Mechanical Engineer building a 3D printer in Vigo, Spain for work placement in third year of Biomedical Engineering. • Constructed a fully operational Fab@Home 3D printer including the housing of the printing mechanism and assembly of the belts and gears required for the machine to operate.• Tested the printer using several different materials to ensure full operation and tested the printing of several shapes to ensure the accuracy of the device.• Wrote a detailed guide for the use of the device for ease of use of students and faculty members and to ensure proper procedure was followed.• Was also involved in supervision and maintenance of machines in workshop such as the lathes and drills.• Prepared materials and tools for classes for the lecturers. This included tasks such as preparing pieces of metal for the classes and taking stock of the available hand tools to ensure that each student had a full set and would not run into difficulties with the equipment.

Filled many roles around the store including working on the tills, organising stock and store shelves, taking orders into the stock room and customer service.
