Research Technician
CurrentI am currently working in the Structural Biology Department. Here, I am working as part of a team that provides structural biology services to groups within the Harvard research community. We take in custom plasmids from different groups, express and purify their proteins, and then conduct biophysical, biochemical, and structural characterization experiments to uncover novel MOAs and facilitate the development of novel drug therapies. My role entails expressing large batches of proteins in bacterial, mammalian and insect cells, and purifying them using methods such as FPLC. I also perform characterization techniques, such as ITC and X-Ray Crystallography.
