Elected Nov. 2012 to an at-large seat on the governing board of largest high school district in AZ. Serve needs of 27,000 students and families, focusing on parent and student engagement, embracing technology as vehicle for learning, STEM innovation, restorative justice school cultures and articulation efforts between K-8 partner districts and also.

• Developed + implemented campaign plan, strategy, budget + team for AZ Democratic Gubernatorial nominee, David Garcia.
• Won a three-way primary outright & by nearly 20%; won 28 of 30 legislative districts + 14 of 15 counties.
• Built field program consisting of 15 regional field teams + 9,735 volunteer sign ups, filling 5,088 shifts who made 802,564 voter contact attempts. Volunteers knocked on 127,704 doors, made 57,254 calls and sent.
• Raised $3M anchored by large small dollar fundraising program receiving nearly 50K individual contributions or more than all Republican state, local and federal candidates combined. Average donation was $48 and over.
• Organically grew list from ~20K to nearly 300K by election with over 80K active openers at peak.
• Managed staff of 17 and all hiring/firing and HR needs. Led consultant search, hiring and management including paid media, Spanish language, digital persuasion, acquisition and fundraising, direct mail, SMS and polling.

• Executive Director for largest 501c3 civic engagement coalition in Arizona.
• Grew budget from $600K to over $5M in first year.
• Led voter registration drive that turned in over 154K applications.
• Grew coalition from 12 to 31 members

Developed and managed policy and lobbying agenda focused on worker protections at the municipal level. Built campaign plans including elected, stakeholder and constituent engagement strategies to push for policy at the Phoenix City Council. Managed all civic engagement activity including a rigorous experimentally designed research project measuring voter.

Developed, implemented and managed campaign plan, strategy, budget and team for top Democratic state-wide vote getter in 2014 Arizona elections. Successfully implemented engagement campaign for the top education office in Arizona - Superintendent of Public Instruction - building five statewide volunteer-led field teams that made 61,314 voter contact.
