About Ianeta Hutchinson

I’m a people leader with a strong technical background and product mindset. I have built and led dynamic and high performance engineering teams that are driven by an understanding of customer needs. I thrive in fast paced organizations where I can be a relationship builder and creative problem solver, empowering others to also connect and grow with new challenges.Previously, co-founder and CEO of ExplainDev. ExplainDev is an AI startup founded with the mission of building tools to enable developers anywhere to upskill. We built learning tools leveraging foundational AI models, established B2B and B2C revenue, and secured venture capital and angel funding. Prior to founding ExplainDev I was a Engineering Manager at Intel. I established and led a global team with software engineering and product functions. While at Intel I also served as a product manager and program manager for the System Software organization focused on the highest performance of Intel Architecture in real data center and cloud use cases. In managerial roles I leverage my technical experience as a former Cloud Software Engineer and Technical Writer as well as soft skills mastered in high performance athletics. In New Zealand I was on the national water polo team from which I secured a full-scholarship to migrate to the US as an athlete then coached in the top NCAA division while gaining a Master of Science in Information Systems and two Bachelor's degrees: Psychology and Sociology.
