Inside the Black Box - a global awareness campaign on behalf of the UNU and the OECD. Campaign aimed at Masters and PhD students inspired new thinking on the effectiveness and sustainability of Official Development Assistance (ODA). Deliverables include, interviews with leading ODA policy practitioners, a global student essay competition and a compiled campaign publication. "A communicator by heart (and trade), Ian brings experience delivering communications duties for a range of public bodies from Japan to Canada . He got involved with Inside the Black Box because he believes that ODA, and government-led aid, is a great catalyst for citizen-citizen engagement that could get the global population talking and help bridge the North-South divide."Leading the Inside the Black Box awareness campaign required the construction and maintenance of the campaign's digital presence, website (WordPress, Google Analyticals, SEO optimization), Facebook (including marketing) and Twitter. Also responsible for the design and management of promotional materials for the campaign.
