In my role as Creator and CEO at u10sils, I lead an innovative team committed to our vision of “u10sils for all.” Our mission is to equip individuals with the most compact and convenient way to carry their own cutlery, making a tangible impact - reducing single-use plastics.Key Responsibilities:Product Development: I oversee the design and manufacturing of u10sils, ensuring our product has an innovative style and is made from high-quality materials to provide an unmatched dining experience. Sustainable Impact: By providing a versatile cutlery set that includes stainless steel utensils, wooden chopsticks, and reusable straws, we aim to offset the staggering 40 billion pieces of plastic cutlery discarded annually.Team Leadership: Building a collaborative and innovative team, I focus on fostering an environment where creativity thrives, encouraging knowledge sharing, and supporting professional growth.Customer Engagement: I prioritize understanding our users’ needs and preferences by actively seeking their feedback. As a Community Support Worker at the Toronto District School Board, I collaborated with a 24-member team to design and deliver community programs and campaigns aimed at improving access to education and quality of education. I oversaw the design of multiple campaigns, including Parent Academy, EdAppHack, TDSBhub.ca, and Model Schools for Inner Cities, and spearheaded the design and launch of key strategies, communications plans, branding, and program rollouts in the public sector. I designed numerous marketing materials including logos, PowerPoint content, templates, posters and flyers, conference materials, outreach materials, and program guides. Some of my notable contributions include supporting the growth of the Model Schools for Inner Cities program from 30 to 150 schools, leading the design and launch of tdsbhub.ca, designing and releasing infographics to support families, and launching a Google intranet site and Google Drive structure for 80 staff.
