About Ian Mcgill
Brought up on a farm in Zimbabwe before leaving home and joining the British Army. I became a Royal Engineer and was very fortunate to experience a wide variety of roles and challenges. These included serving with commando and airborne forces, peacekeeping operations in Northern Ireland, commanding the British Force in Kuwait during the immediate aftermath of the 1991 Gulf War, helping to coordinate nation-building operations in Bosnia and leading the Royal Engineers as their professional head (Engineer in Chief) I have also worked in the construction industry, designing and building motorway bridges, and have led two national youth charities before focusing on performance coaching. I'm a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of both the Institute of Civil Engineers and the Royal Engineers and a qualified coach.Specialties: Leadership, strategic planning, operational management, training, motivation and team building.
