About Ian Brown

IT Management Professional with extensive experience in the IT industry. I like to play with every new computing technology and learn all about them.My experience includes IT Management, Team & Project Management, Cloud Provisioning, Software, Hardware & Networking implementation, IT Support & Training, Software lifecycle management, Pre- and Post- Sales Engineering, programming, data analytics/cleansing. I’ve held in the past every certification you can think of… Novel CNE, Microsoft MCSE, all of the CompTIA’s… but it’s not about what about you remember in an exam - it’s about what you know! I have employed 100s of people,and worked with 1000s. I’ve worked both in planning, and hands on implementation in some of the biggest Data Centres in the World.I worked as Head of Product Operations managing the IOS, Android, DevOps and QA teams at SafeToNet from March 2019 to September 2022, and then took a break. In 2023 I setup myself as a self-employed contractor and worked on various IT projects on an ad-hoc basis. This gave me time to do a lot of running (I’m a parkrun tourist), gardening (we were given a local allotment) and travelling for a year (my Wife and I go to Turkey as often as we can). My Contract work took me back to SafeToNet again in October 2023, and I’ve been there ever since. I’ve now undertaken a permanent position at SafeToNet as Technical Pre-Sales Manager. In this role I’m involved in everything from Product Management, Sales, POCs, Dev, QA, Project Management. It’s one of my happiest places. Working with AI and Machine Learning experts is amazing and I’m learning so much. I know where this is going!
