More recently, Ian joined Lero as part of the Covigilant project with a focus on gathering evidence to inform and optimise Ireland’s digital contact-tracing strategy and practice in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, before seizing on an opportunity to join the team driving the creation of the highly innovative Immersive Software Engineering programme as a Senior Research Fellow in the Dept of Computer Science.
