This is where I cut my teeth in the world of human resources following my graduation from Cardiff University. Starting as a HR Consultant I dealt with low-level employment advice queries from the client base, produced bespoke HR documentation (policies / terms and conditions) whilst also supporting the activities of the senior consultants. After just 9 months I was promoted to Senior HR Consultant and worked with clients across the UK to manage the HR and Employee Relations issues; predominantly disciplinary and grievance issues (including representation at Employment Tribunals). I was rewarded with "Consultant of the Year" shortly thereafter. In 2005 I took on the responsibility of leading a multi-disciplined team made of HR, Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Consultants to service a UK wide client base. Clients ranged from SMEs to multinational household names and worked across all sectors including; not-for-profit, FMCG, education, health care, manufacturing, retail and far more.During my time with Crownford, I also enjoyed using my HR knowledge to conduct Ethical Trade audits in China and the Philippines. This was a unique opportunity and experience that will always stay with me.This exposure to a vast array of HR issues, industries and sectors gave me a breadth of knowledge and understanding I doubt I could have accumulated anywhere else.
