1) Responsible for the commercial operations and key performance matrices of the Operations Department. Leading a team of 169 direct reports, supported by 10 Workshop Managers and 6 operations engineers on a wide range of Avionics and Mechanical component product groups, inclusive of Landing Gears.2) Maintaining a high level of product quality standards and compliance within the department.3) Review of department annual operational budget and ensuring the operational expenses and targets are adhered to.4) Conducting regular manpower review to ensure adequate deployment of resources to the respective cost centres.5) Driving digitization and automation efforts to improve productivity and reduce over-reliance on manpower.6) Implementing Continuous Improvement projects to improve component TAT, workplace 5S and efficiency.

1) Reporting to VP/DGM Operations, the role involves managing the Landing Gear MRO Facilities in Singapore. Primary objective is to build a strong, competent, and coherent team to support the operational needs of our customers and be competitive in the region.2) With a total direct reports of 52 skilled technicians, managed and supported by a team of 2 workshop managers and 6 operation engineers, the team is able to carry out the Repair and Overhaul of the B737NG, A320, and ATR Landing Gears with a high level of productivity within the contractual timeframe for our customers.3) Key Performance Indicators include: (i) streamlining the overhaul processes to reduce/eliminate inefficiencies, (ii) ramping up the capacity of the department, (iii) formulating training plans to ensure core competencies are well backed-up and cross-deployment are readily activated and sustainable, (iv) charting the growth of the department in a highly competitive Landing Gear MRO aftermarket, (iv) responsible for the financial performance and the operating expenses for the department.4) Driving a safe working culture and a safe working environment by introducing SWPs and encouraging reporting of unsafe acts. Engaging in Continuous Improvement projects such as VSM, TPM on high usage machines and equipment, Quick-changeover, etc. to optimize space usage and improve productivity.5) Responsible in driving towards achieving the various KPIs and milestones set for the year while ensuring a high level of safety and quality standards down to the individuals of the team.6) Mentoring and empowering team members to develop their potential and problem-solving skills. Maintaining a high level of discipline within the department.

1) Senior Operations Manager for the Avionics and Mechanical Department. Leading a team of Workshop Managers in ensuring operational efficiency and productivity. Managing a total of 168 skilled technicians on the Repair and Overhaul of a wide range of Avionics and Mechanical products from different OEMs;2) Responsible for the P&L of the Operations Department through effective management of operational budget and planning. Liaison with internal stakeholders in support of the commercial and program management team in archiving customers' requirement and the internal KPIs;3) Management of Contracts and Service Centre Agreements to ensure compliance and smooth transitions during various milestones;4) Driving a safe working culture and introducing Continuous Improvement projects to optimize productivity and enhancing a safe working environment.5) Charting the growth of the department and personnel development to create a stable and sustainable team for the future.

1) Managing the daily operations of the Logistics and Materials Department. Leading a team of 10 Executives, 16 Logistics Staffs, 5 Admins and 7 Material Planners in ensuring operational efficiency and productivity of the department. 2) Responsible for supporting the Operations Department in material provisioning and timely procurement of aviation spares in order to achieve the targeted Turn-Around-Time, while ensuring material costs are kept low through effective sourcing and negotiation with suppliers/vendors.3) Monitoring of Material stock level and adjusting the material Re-Order Level from time-to-time to prevent unnecessary stocking of slow moving materials.4) Ensuring smooth job input and output process to minimize disruptions to the work flow. Working closely with internal stakeholders such as the Operations and Customer Service Departments on delivery requirements and schedule for packing and delivery arrangements. 5) Ensuring the company’s shipping compliance guidelines are adhered to.6) Identifying areas for improvement and incorporate Continuous Improvement projects to replace repetitive processes and better monitoring system for KPI tracking.

Managing a total of 64 skilled technicians dealing with the Repair and Overhaul of a wide range of Avionics products from different OEMs;2) Responsible for the P&L of the Operations Department through effective management of operational budget and planning. Liaison with internal stakeholders in support of the commercial team in archiving the sales target;3) Management of Contracts and Service Centre Agreements to ensure compliance and smooth transitions during various milestones;4) Developing a safe working culture in the department, focusing on quality compliance and improvement and implementing preventive initiatives across all workshops;5) Exploring ways to do things cheaper, better, and faster so as to attract more business for the company while ensuring compliance to the industrial safety and regulatory requirements and standards;6) Maintaining a high level of discipline within the department;7) Driving job redesign projects to maintain the employability of mature workers while initiating appropriate developmental coaching and cross-trainings to ensure key competencies are being passed down to the younger technicians;8) Ensure adequate spares provisioning in order to facilitate operations requirements;9) Negotiation with suppliers/vendors on Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to obtain discounts and rebates to reduce material/rework costs and ensure on-time delivery of materials/parts;10) Driving Continuous Improvement Projects within the department through Kaizen to minimize wastage and optimize productivity.
