Many of my duties changed with my employer's restructuring. While my title changed at the end of 2020, my duties post restructuring really began in November of 2021. My duties included:· Ensuring every customer's experience with the library is unique, engaging and dynamic.· Provide standard material handling, tech help, reader’s advisory, and reference services· Handle monetary exchanges with patrons and count money at day’s end· Member of the Tech tutoring committee, helping to design DCL's tech tutoring services· Utilized the following: Horizon, Bibliocommons, Beanstack, and EnvisionWare STS.· Was in charge of one of Parker's bookclubs, in which I worked on scheduling, book selection, moderating discussions, communications between the library and members of the book club, and any other logistical work needed· Was the Adult Literacy Program's (ALP) liaison, in which I informed staff of upcoming ALP projects and events, helped orientate new tutors and volunteers, as well as being the contact for the district's Practice Your English sessions· Co-lead of the A/V display team, making sure the library's A/V items are well maintained and properly displayed· Maintained and updated the library branch's staff information and instruction booklet.

In addition to standard circulation and reference duties, I was in charge of all programs and instruction related to digital and information literacy, as well as instructing staff so that they could better serve patrons with regards to digital devices and other related topics. I also created policy, engaged in collection development, forecast future budget needs, monitored trending topics in digital and information circles to ensure the library stays up-to-date, created and managed the library's maker space, helped to manage the library's website and social media presence, and acted as IT for all things related to the library's tech devices, systems, and wireless networks.

As a Customer Experience/Advisory Specialist Floater, I traveled to a variety of library branches within the Arapahoe Library District, where I provided outgoing and friendly assistance to patrons, offered readers' advisory, assisted patrons with their computer and technology based questions, provided general reference and research aid, and helped patrons with library account maintenance. I also aided in maintaining and organizing the collection by gathering, processing, sorting, and shelving materials that had been returned to the library.

As a substitute material handler, I traveled to a variety of library branches within the Arapahoe Library District. There, I gathered, processed, sorted and shelved materials that had been returned to the library. I also retrieved and processed materials for holds, maintained the visual appeal of the collection by keeping it neat, organized, and in its proper order, and maintained a positive attitude while providing excellent customer service to the libraries’ patrons.

My main duty was to work on manuscript processing, while also arranging, describing, and completing container lists, all while utilizing the options provided to me by Archivist Toolkit. I also engaged in additional research, locating and processing more information about each collection as I worked on them.I addition to my main duties, I also assisted patrons in their research, paging materials, off-site storage preparation and retrieval, database maintenance, and exhibit research & execution.

I worked primarily as a Barista while I was at Borders, where my duties included preparing drinks for customers, keeping the cafe clean, and organizing the magazine and newstand section of the store. I also worked on occasion as a bookseller, working the register, shelving books, keeping the store's inventory organized and alphabetized, and recommending books for customers to purchase. On occasion, I would volunteer when the store needed people working an overnight cleaning shift, as we went through the store and cleaned, shelved and organized it as we prepared for large sales, like the holidays or the sale of the last Harry Potter book. With that mentioned, I am also experienced in dealing with incredibly large crowds of sometimes angry or disgruntled customers.
