Ian T. Lane is a trusted legal advisor helping to advance and protect the interests of investors in complex finance and real estate transactions. Mr. Lane’s practice includes representing institutional lenders in originating mortgage loans secured by major office buildings, industrial facilities, shopping centers and residential complexes in New York City and throughout the United States. Mr. Lane is also experienced in structuring, documenting and reviewing large loans to be securitized in the capital markets.Prior to rejoining Dechert in 2011, Mr. Lane was resident in the Beijing office of a large international law firm. During his time in China, Mr. Lane advised and assisted global institutional lenders and investment banks in structuring, documenting and implementing complex cross border financing transactions involving real estate and other forms of collateral. Mr. Lane’s international practice also included the representation of investors in the restructuring and acquisition of non-performing loans and other distressed assets in China.
