I have an educational background consisting of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University with a course concentration in power generation and distribution. My training through the naval nuclear propulsion program includes extensive multi-disciplinary engineering topics covering thermodynamics, fluid systems, materials, and nuclear physics. As a project engineer, I am responsible for the execution of industrial engineering projects from initial feasibility study thru system commissioning. These projects involve new plant construction, existing plant upgrades and emergent repair to high speed manufacturing equipment. In my time as a nuclear-trained naval officer I led more than 60 personnel, I gained experience in team leadership and technical project management. This includes supervising numerous repairs and upgrades to 600psi steam systems, 4.16kV electrical generation, 450V distribution systems, and plant control systems. Prior to the Navy, I completed an internship with an engineering firm independently preparing bids and proposals for new projects. I have also managed classified communication networks and hold a current Top Secret, SCI eligible DoD security clearance.
Listed skills include Project Engineering, Capital Projects, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Power Plants, and 36 others.
