Ibrahim Dibal is a water supply and sanitation engineer specializing in coordination, monitoring, evaluation and learning of water projects, technical training and institutional development of the water sector in Nigeria and some developing countries. He has M.Sc. in Water and Waste Engineering from WEDC Loughborough University, U.K. and he is a corporate member of the Council for the Registration of Engineers in Nigeria and Nigerian Society of Engineers. He has 20 years of experience in the water sector in Nigeria, East Africa and South Asia.His early career was that of a Higher Instructor promoted to Lecturer 1, then principal lecturer / head of civil engineering department of the Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Nigeria. While working at Federal Polytechnic Mubi, he took six (6) years leave-of-absence where he went to work in various water organizations in Nigeria and abroad to incur practical field experiences.During the periods of leave-of- absence, he worked as National Programme Officer (WASH) with UN-Habitat at Jos, Nigeria (2006-2008), and Water & Sanitation Officer with United Nations Stabilization Mission (MONUSCO) in Democratic Republic of Congo, (2008-2012). Prior to this period, he served as Water and Sanitation Engineer (UNV-Specialist) in Bhutan, South Asia (1990-1994). In between 1988 and 1990, he was delegated to the Cape Verde Islands as Water and Waste Engineer. Engr.
