Founding Director / Curator
CurrentOver the past year I’ve collaborates with artists to develop and curate site-specific and virtual reality art exhibitions. Between the 14 artist’s I’ve worked with I have been in charge of their exhibit installation, marketing, and take down. Their shows ranged between 1-3 months and have a focus on emerging local talent. Once artists submit their artist statements I have to revise them to ensure spelling, punctuation, and tone consistency with the institution standard. Between Microsoft word and the Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign in this case) I create the exhibition didactics and artist labels – if applicable to the show. My marketing of the exhibits has resulted in %92 of our exhibits selling artwork. This has supported the organization’s emerging artist mandate which ensures artists retain 100% of the sales to further their art careers. These exhibits are marketed through Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and through my continual efforts to maintain relationships with all visitors, patrons, and artists.
Exhibitions Review Committee
CurrentThe committee meets twice a year to review all applications for the town-run exhibition spaces (including the Main Gallery at QEPCCC, Corridors at QEPCCC and Trafalgar Park Community Centre).

Office & Facilities Manager
While coordinating with the Town of Oakville’s Finance and Payroll departments, I must also provide nominal clerical and administrative support for all department records, personnel files, costs, and meetings. On a daily basis I ensure the entire facility is meeting industry standards in terms of maintenance while facilitating repairs when needed. I started working at Oakville Galleries as a Gallery Animateur and Art Instructor. When assisting the curatorial department I provided support in exhibit installation, packaging, and transportation. With the education department I was an Ontario curriculum-based lesson planner/teacher for art camps and classes. I also maintained relationships with patrons and board members through fundraising and networking events for the Patron and Fundraising department. When working in the gallery exhibits, I was responsible for sharing exhibition knowledge with the public and answering their inquiries about exhibitions between both locations to the best of my ability. Occasionally I also provided private tours for board members or patrons. As soon as I was hired for this role I was also asked to examine the gallery’s social media accounts and marketing campaigns. With a thorough analysis I provided critical feedback on their social media coordinator to improve viewership and public engagement. This led to a prompt promotion into the Special Projects Associate role. With this role, I became the manager of the on-site studio and the liaison for all rental requests. All rental contracts were drafted via Google Drive, MS Word and Excel. After a few months in this position I led a studio rental marketing initiative that resulted in a 36% increase of gallery funding for the 2019-2020 year. On a daily basis I developed relationships with my rental patrons to expand gallery visibility and exhibition engagement while compiling and pre-cataloguing condition reports of Gallery archives and Personal Collection database.
Guest Curator
I have been invited to guest curate a digital exhibition for the Watershed Residency program. This project will involve me reviewing every submission to this exhibition and compiling an exhibition of vast mediums and theories. Alongside curating this space, I have been invited to write about this exhibition and it's artists, along with the digital space itself, to then be published in the residency's catalogue.
Guest Curator
After meeting with the Art Gate VR team, I was invited to guest curate 5 rooms of Mike Winklemann's (more commonly known as Beeple), artwork. As Winklemann is continuously making artwork with no common theme except producing a piece of work once per day, I was provided with 365 of his works from his 2019 Everydays series. I then had to carefully examine each of the 365 submitted works, selecting only 70 to fit into this 5 room exhibition space. The 5 rooms were broken down into mini exhibitions, each with a didactic that I wrote. This task required a quick turnover, as there were 365 works to go through and only a few weeks to complete the job. Now that everything is completed, the works will be presented at Art Gate VR's international art fair.
Assistant To The Curator
After being invited to exhibit with the Joseph D. Carrier Gallery in the Columbus Centre, I offered my curatorial assistant services to Flavio Belli as he prepared to launch an exhibition with 40 artists and over 100 works. During this short time, I assisted with the facilitation and condition checking of all artwork that was dropped off by the participating artists. Once the work was received and the artists signed off on their admission, I managed the art handling, packaging, and distribution of selected works across the gallery space. Flavio then asked for my assistance with the final layout of the group exhibition that was across three floors.
Student Representative & Tour Guide
I was accountable for weekly campus tours with prospective students and displayed to them the benefits of attending Sheridan College. In order to do this effectively, I remained up to date with campus knowledge, including new facilities and activities. I successfully described tour points of interest to group members and had to respond to questions efficiently among the different groups. I also collaborated with cross-functional teams during Open House events and portfolio reviews.
Assistant Front Of House Manager
I was initially hired as a host but quickly adapted into the management team. In this position, I facilitated all front and back of house policies and procedures. I had to provided effective solutions to expedite guest recovery when necessary and was in charge of administrating restaurant sales, labour costs, inventory orders, and scheduling. On a daily basis I had to demonstrate exceptional project management and team coordination skills. This position providing me with the training to get certified in WHIMS and Occupational Safety Group (OSG).
Communications And Public Relations Intern
This internship provided me the opportunity to scout for potential future artists for solo and group exhibitions via artist databases such as Artists in Canada and other means available. During my time here, I introduced new marketing campaigns to actively promote exhibited artists and gallery space as an event rental space through Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook while actively attending the gallery.
Supervisor
After a year of working as a food associate I was promoted to a shift supervisor. With this position I successfully managed employees of various generations during the absence of management. I was accountable for restaurant's overall well-being and had to ensure that company polices were followed and that business needs were met. It was also my responsibility to address all complaints from guests with extreme care.During my time here I redesigned the training module for all new associates resulting in a more employee-friendly and streamlined process.
