I was educated in Hong Kong and Australia. I've worked in Hong Kong and Australia (Sydney) before settling down in Singapore. I had two short stints working in a newly privatised power company and another public-listed company before joining Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore.I believe in job rotation within a company so that one can understand the functions of the different departments, fully appreciate the different perspectives and then grasps any areas of improvements and to work hard at them.I have worked in 4 different departments within Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) and the most recent one is the Centre of Innovation (COI), which is part-funded by the Enterprise Singapore (ESG). One of the core businesses of the COI is its project collaboration with industry partners using the latest technology and supporting sustainability. I am in-charge of the Administration Dept, overseeing HR & Staff Matters, Finance & Budget as well as Outreach & Marketing. I have enjoyed the work complexity due to its many facets of technical and admin areas. My career objective is to undertake a role in which my knowledge and skills in the field of administration and outreach can be used. My experience as an Administrator for many years had taught me there are always better ways to achieve deliverables more efficiently and getting higher job satisfaction for staff and clients.
