She is keen on empirical intervention, and policy advocacy, with a strong mission on instilling hope for the underprivileged and striving for a more balanced and sustainable society.

  Ida is now the Service Head of Residential Child Care Service of Hong Kong Christian Service, overseeing Small Group Home Service, Foster Care Service and 2 pioneer projects for children in care. She devoted to serve children with traumatic background for the past 10 years. She has been responsible for the adult rehabilitation service of the Agency, and pioneering a project for the comprehensive development of young children from low socio-economic status. In the long years of work in the social service field, Ida also has a wide repertoire of leadership including being the centre in charge of an integrated children and youth service centre, early education and training centres, overseeing community networking projects and self financing service project. Ida has pioneered a number of service project, including establishing the attachment based service delivery model in residential child care setting, launching a project for grass-root men in a remote district and outreaching counselling project for young online game addicts, aiming at filling the service gap of the society, which were awarded in the social service industry as well as within the Agency, and heightened awareness of the general public about service needs of such disadvantaged groups. Ida is passionate about instilling hope for the underprivileged and advocating changes on policy level for a better society. She strives for empirical intervention, and is still advancing herself for effective intervention models on individual basis.
